The Kirby Bellars Group of Artists was founded by David Weston in the early 1980s’.
The aim of the group is to foster the appreciation of visual arts and to inform, encourage
and help members to improve and enjoy their art.
Members meet weekly in Kirby Bellars Village Hall during the winter months and from June
to September are out in local towns, villages and countryside, sketching and searching for
inspiration for paintings.
Once a term we have demonstrations using various media , and on other subjects
connected to art. We have an annual critique evening where the good and not so good
points of paintings are discussed , advice is then given on improvement where needed.
Our Annual Exhibition is a major event in the groups calendar and is always held on the
Early May Bank holiday.
Prospective members are invited to join the group at any time, as associate members.
Subscriptions will be at 75% of the full membership fee and applied on a pro rata basis.
Progression to full membership will be on merit.
